Premier League
Some big changes underway

Jose Mourinho admitted that he may not have his ideal side at his disposal when Manchester United open their Premier League campaign on Friday. “There is no time to cry,” he said. Players are not going to be with the team on Friday, so Mourinho will assemble the best possible team to fight on the Premiers League start.

Mourinho still remains hopeful of strengthening his side in the transfer window before the August 9 deadline, with Brazil international midfielder Fred the club’s top signing this summer. Arsenal and Chelsea will both have new men at the helm on the opening weekend of the season, whilst Fulham, Cardiff, and Wolves are the three new arrivals from the Championship.

All the dates are liable to change, like in every season. But, the first month of the season are now locked in, with more live TV matches yet to be confirmed.

Liverpool have completed the world-record signing of goalkeeper Alisson – and with it their summer transfer business.

Press Association Sport understands the Reds have agreed to pay a guaranteed £56million up front, with £53.8m going to Roma and £2.2m to the Brazil international’s former club Internacional. They will pay a further £9m in add-ons, dependant on Champions League qualification and also wins in that competition, Europa League or Premier League.
